My my. First time in recent memory that Northwestern is a BCS top 25. Nice. Maybe we'll actually make it to a bowl this year that's not called something like "Clorox Swiffer Bowl". The defense actually did a good job. If they keep it up, we'll definitely make it to the "Vaseline Lip Balm Bowl".

I keep telling Claire that NU football is not a joke. The 1995 Rose Bowl team was ranked as high as #4. In the 11 years that I've been affiliated with the university, we've done reasonably well for your run-of-the-mill Division I program. Beats ivy league football, that's for damn sure. Although it would've been nice to win one of those bowl games.
