I am taking an official hiatus from blogging, at least until January 15th. That's the date that China Netcom says internet will be back to normal in China.
In case you haven't heard, an earthquake off the coast of Taiwan severed 5 out of 6 undersea fibre optic cables that keep Asia connected with North America.
In response, there is apparently filtering going on at a government level that gives priority to companies and government offices.
Result? Internet to sites outside China is slow or unavailable. Boo. Looks like I'll have to learn how to read Chinese.
